Job description

The Director of Real Estate is responsible for overseeing and directing construction management of Mustang facilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Plan, manage, and oversee budget for new facility construction projects and remodels
• Responsible for facility compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Coordinate payables for construction draws and large expenditures with the Accounting department
• Coordinate contracts and legal agreements (i.e. MSA's) with Legal department
• Work with Senior Leadership on sire selection and facility ingress, egress, and drainage requirements
• Primary contact for architects, consultants, contractors, owners, etc. concerning all aspects of project management
• Provide regular reports to manager to assess construction projects
• Perform quality control inspections to ensure adherence to contract specifications and industry standards
• Monitor contracts and property lease agreements for compliance and cost control
• Work with Store Managers to oversee management of company facilities, including custodial, security, and maintenance services provided by employees and outside vendors
• Prepare annual budget for occupancy expenses
• Review energy use at all facilities for utility recommendations for cost control
• Work with appropriate team members t ensure compliance with facility related environmental laws and regulations
• Travel throughout Mustang territory
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field
• At least 5 years experience in the field
• Knowledge of contracting process and associated regulations and codes
• Understanding of real estate and property management principles
• Ability to evaluate bids from contractors
• Expert project planning skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents and blueprints
• Effective and persuasive presentation skills
• Professional communication skills
