What We Are Looking For

G+D has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Quality, located in our Twinsburg, Ohio facility. The Director of Quality is responsible for ensuring that every product meets the expectations of our business, clients, and consumers. The selected candidate will work to develop effective testing procedures and train other quality assurance employees on how to implement the quality tests in their departments. We are looking for a positive and experienced worker looking for a long-term position that enjoys guiding staff and ensuring results. The successful candidate will also enjoy taking on new duties as the role progresses.

What You Will Do

  • Enroll and enforce quality methodologies to improve root cause analysis and permanent corrections (FMEA, 5Why, 8D, Ishikawa, etc.)
  • Safeguard new product ramp ups and new customer onboardings
  • Drive customer satisfaction measures based on satisfaction surveys and monthly complaint performance
  • Execute monthly KPI reviews with focus on proper root cause understanding and determination of permanent corrective action
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with managing directors and operation managers within ePayment
  • Assure adequate management reviews and closure of findings from Management Certification audits and other certification bodies
  • Ownership of dedicated ST+S (ePayment) strategic projects
  • Execution of Targets and objectives for Qualtity ePayment US derived by given G+D MS ST+S strategic targets
  • Improve overall quality performance in ePayment US
  • Sustain and improve customer satisfaction
  • Develop enhanced quality mindset, as well as quality and process methodologies and analysis tools such as DoE, Correlation, FMEA, SPC, 5Why, 8D, Ishikawa, etc.
  • Direct, supervise and discipline quality managers within ePayment
  • Maintain and develop management systems
  • Formulate, monitor, and evaluate individual targets and objectives
  • Focus on top-down quality cost reduction projects
  • Track monthly operational yield/loss and formulate operational improvements
  • Fix major issue rootcauses and prevent reoccurrence
  • Create and execute action plans in response to client satisfaction surveys
  • 100% tracking and transparency for non-conformities and customer complaints: monthly reporting of all complaints
  • Review critical and major 8D reports with local operations and managing directors
  • Monthly review with site operations to track and understand non-conformances and critical quality events
  • Execution of PFMEAs to reveal production and process risks and possible mitigation
  • Update local control plans based on global requirements and P-FMEA risk assessments
  • Perform executive review with Managing Directors, Head of Global Quality and Head of regional Operations on corrective action from non-conformances and critical quality events or lessons learned
  • Maintain and develop further integrated Management Systems; ISO 9001/14001/45001 (EHS) Group certificates
  • Support Sites on CSR, EHS and Sustainable Development Goals set by G+D Group for ST+S
  • Initiate Hypercare Phase for new or re-onboarded important customers and implement extra quality attention/ measures
  • Support new product ramp up / Safe launch Management with guidance and requirements from quality to fulfil expected Operational yield and customer requirements (dpm level)

What is Required

  • Engineering degree in Material science or Electronics or Manufacturing
  • 5 or more years working experience in a management position
  • A proven track record of successfully leading and developing a Quality Management or Engineering team
  • A pragmatic, collaborative and inspirational leadership style
  • Demonstrated passion and skills to manage diverse teams in a matrix Organization and a constant drive for quality excellence
  • Experience collaborating with Operations, R&D and Product Management
  • Expert in standardization processes, hardware characterization, packaging, product quality targets, logistics, industrialization
  • Professional knowledge of quality and process methodologies and analysis tools such as DoE, Correlation, FMEA, SPC, 5Why, 8D, Ishikawa, Risk Assessment, etc.

  • Experience with working across different cultures
  • Background in the chipcard manufacturing industry and related processes and bill of materials is a benefit
