Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overseeing patient experience operations for the medical group with a focus on patient scheduling, intake, eligibility & authorizations, and optimization of the providers
• Effectively manage a large team while ensuring that our staff is providing positive and effective patient relations, accurate telephone communication, and accurate scheduling
• Provide coaching and guidance to the team and develop best practices in patient registration, co-payment collection and outstanding customer service to patients through the intake of calls and ability to navigate services throughout UP Medical.
• This position also oversees duties associated with the collection and maintenance of current patient demographics and insurance information.
• Ensure that best in class processes and technology are incorporated into all aspects of our patient experience operations
• Travel to all office locations throughout Southern California on a monthly basis
• Meet with UP Medical Case Managers to strategize on patient journey optimization
• Directly manage the Intake and Eligibility & Authorizations teams until we hire a middle manager, and provide direction to the current functional supervisors
• Be a leader in the office and cultivate a positive work environment
• Lead regular team meetings and build action plans for achieving team goals
• Provide honest and direct feedback to your team through bi-annual performance reviews, regular check-ins, and employee counseling sessions
• Hire and train new team members
• Oversee timecards for all direct reports, approve/deny leave requests, and reinforce overtime & meal premiums policies
• Work with people operations team and senior leadership to compile future staffing needs and analyze current resource allocation

Requirements:

• 8+ years of recent relevant experience working in a multi-state and multi-specialty environment
• 5+ years of experience in a supervisory position
• Extensive knowledge in the areas of patient intake, insurance eligibility and authorization, scheduling and provider partner management
• Must demonstrate business acumen, proactive attitude and creativity in problem solving, leadership, and sound decision-making
• Ability to lead, challenge, and motivate staff
• Demonstrated skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. Must have communication skills, including written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal
• Must have the ability to create an environment that encourages cooperation, motivation, innovation, and high-performance teamwork. Ability to delegate responsibility and authority to staff, whether or not a direct reporting relationship exists
• A background in Logistics is a plus!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Management: 3 years (Preferred)
• Complex Scheduling: 5 years (Preferred)
