The Director of Nursing (DON) will be responsible for planning, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Nursing Department. This direction must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Eastbrook Healthcare Center, located in Cleveland, is currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to fill our Director of Nursing position. The ideal candidate will be a systematic thinker who is process driven, compliance orientated and a mentor for all staff trained to honor and enhance the lives of our residents within the facility. The Director of Nursing (DON) will be responsible for planning, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Nursing Department. This direction must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Must have an in-depth knowledge of the standards of practice and regulations for long-term care setting.
• Schedule daily rounds to observe residents and determine if nursing needs are being met.
• Participate in Facility Survey and maintain “Survey Ready” status.
• Perform administrative duties such as completion of forms, reports and evaluations as required.
• Ability to define and problem solve, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
• Monitor medication passes and treatment schedule to ensure that medications are be administered as ordered and that treatments are provided as scheduled.
• Develop, implement, and maintain an effective orientation and in-service curriculum/program.
• Participates in talent search for nursing staff by interviewing and selection process.
• Conducts assessments and performance evaluations for Nursing Management Team based on demonstrated competency to perform essential functions on the job.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Dialysis and vent experience is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
