We are looking to hire a Director of Health and Wellness at Governor's Pointe! We are a small assisted living looking for a hands-on leader.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

We are growing and are looking for an individual who has the ability to continually adjust to change, drive to make a difference, and desire to improve. The primary purpose of this position is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall functions of the Nursing Services Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the residence, and as may be directed by the Executive Director to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

• Supports the philosophy, mission, commitment, vision and values of Randall Residence.
• Directly oversee the delivery of care to Assisted Living residents to ensure that emotional, physical, psychological and safety needs are met through all program services and activities.
• Assesses and documents the resident's condition and nursing needs.
• Accurately and promptly implements physicians' orders.
• Administer medications, perform treatments for assigned residents, and documents that treatment as required by Randall Residence, and local, state and federal rules and regulations.
• Participates in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
• Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act.
• Ensures that supplies are utilized economically and that equipment is clean and maintained in a safe manner.
• Reports and records pertinent observations and reactions regarding Community Members.
• Coordinates nursing care of Community Members when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
• Supervise the nursing unit, which includes completing the schedule and directing the nursing staff.
• All other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess a current and active license to practice as an LPN/LVN or Registered Nurse in Ohio
• Minimum of 1 year experience in nursing management
• Experience in supervision and principles, practice of teaching, etc.
• Must possess critical thinking skills to address clinical issues

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• At least two years experience in long-term care facility
