Job Description:

The Director of Front Office is responsible for overseeing all front office operations to ensure profitability, control costs and quality standards ensuring total guest satisfaction.

This position is responsible for supervising the daily operations as well as staffing, developing, leading and motivating a team of as many as 20+ associates including the Front Desk, PBX, Bell / Door staff and Concierge.


Scope of this Position:

  • Directs the department through active leadership and delegation.
  • Responsible for implementing payroll controls and achieving budgeted sales and expense goals.
  • Implementing procedural changes as well as monitor and control daily revenue and expenses.
  • Ensures effective implementation of company policies and procedures as they relate to the department.
  • Onboarding of new hires and continued development.
  • Works closely with the Housekeeping Department ensuring efficient room delivery and guest check-in experience.
  • Proven track record showing a strong commitment to guest service with a focus on increasing Guest Satisfaction Scores.
  • Directs and assists in the friendly, professional, and efficient service of hotel guests.
  • Directs all Assistant Front Office Managers, front desk agents, service center agents and bell staff.

Skills/Knowledge Required:

  • Ability to supervise and direct a Front Office team.
  • Excellent customer relations, communication, presentation and organization skills
  • Must be able to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks
  • Must be outgoing and a proven self-starter
  • Must have flexible schedule

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time up to four (4) hours.

Qualified Candidates will possess the following:

Education: Bachelors Degree

Experience: Minimum of 4 years’ experience required, preferably in a hotel capacity.

Grooming: All colleagues must maintain a neat, and well groomed appearance (specific standards will be provided)

The expected pay for this position is $90,000.
