POSITION TITLE: Development Director

DEPARTMENT: Development

Development responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Oversee development activities and budgets.`

• Design and implement a comprehensive strategy to increase giving in all areas of development, including annual giving, major and planned giving, grant applications, and capital campaigns.
• Develop and implement strategies for identifying and nurturing relationships with prospective donors (e.g., individuals, corporations, and foundations).

• Engage and involve the Tuacahn Board and Executive Management in identifying and nurturing relationships with prospective donors.

• 
  Oversee the creation of solicitation and marketing materials to communicate fundraising needs.

• 
  Provide oversight, direction and work necessary to increase annual giving, including membership increases in Tuacahn's Silver Club and similar programs.

• 
  Develop, plan, and oversee development-related events in Washington County, along the Wasatch Front, and in other locations.

• 
  Provide leadership and support to Tuacahn's government relations efforts.

• 
  Supervise and direct fundraising staff and those who volunteer or assist.

• 
  Ensure that all donors are thanked, appreciated, well-informed, and acknowledged in meaningful ways.

• 
  Other duties as assigned.

Development Director qualifications and requirements:

We seek an energetic, dynamic leader with a proven ability to build and enhance relationships. A minimum of a bachelor's degree plus three or more years of development experience are strongly preferred. A strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple projects are essential, as are excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to operate well under pressure, with a positive, pro-active problem-solving attitude is also essential, as is the capability to work with diplomacy and tact. Excellent computer skills with knowledge and experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and databases are a plus.
