About the opportunity:
NetDocuments is seeking a Director of Business Development to Lead a team of Business Development Representatives and to produce a pipeline of opportunities in the small to medium size law firms and corporate organizations, manage the opportunities through the sales cycle to closure. The Director of Business Development will report to the CRO. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing a team operationally on a day to day basis, setting targets, monitoring metrics, motivating individuals and teams, and delivering against both pipeline and closed business targets.

What your contributions will be:
  • Manage team of BDR's
  • Recruit highly skilled individuals that can develop into future account managers
  • On-board team members and keep them up to date
  • Monitor daily activities and ensure progress against targets
  • Set monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for individuals and teams
  • Audit team's calls, evaluate skills, and identify how to increase skills
  • Forecast against monthly and quarterly targets
  • Manage individual performance and identify improvements were necessary
  • Maintain motivation of individuals and teams to minimize attrition
  • Implement processes to provide visibility of activity, progress, and effectiveness to senior management
  • Other duties as assigned

What you will need for success:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years successful sales leadership experience
  • Experience in setting targets and assigning sales territories
  • Regular quota achievement/over-achievement

Ideally you will have:
  • Previous software sales experience
  • Experience reporting to executive teams and stakeholders
  • Sales / knowledge of legal market
  • Experience in developing and managing a geographic sales territory.
