Opportunity:

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a new Global Leader of Aftermarket Excellence. This global leader role, reporting into the global Commercial Excellence and Demand Generation organization, has the unique opportunity to make an impact across every business and brand in Ingersoll Rand. In accordance with this role working across all businesses in Ingersoll Rand, this person is given the ability to display their skills and competencies to many leaders, thus creating virtually countless growth opportunities for roles ahead.


Purpose:

The aftermarket excellence role partners in a strategic way with businesses to assess and mature thier capabilities in an effort to continue the growth of aftermarket inclusive of parts, service, service agreements, and other forms of reoccurring business. Ingersoll Rand views aftermarket as not only a key pillar to our growth strategy, but also as an integral way we deliver on our commitment to our customers to Make Life Better. This includes but is not limited to delivering on an exceptional customer experience, reducing their total lifetime costs, and promoting optimal performance of our equipment, which promotes sustainability.

Responsibilities

Key to this role will be leading across multiple businesses and brands

  • Develop a multi-year strategy aligned to our 2025 aftermarket strategic imperative. Additionally, participate in other business unit’s strategic planning process.
  • Drive an all-company measurement discipline and align businesses to the discipline, which fosters their ability to achieve their business level strategic plans.
  • Lead and create new assessment criteria to empower businesses to see their opportunities and evaluate current capabilities.
  • Lead governance and standard work creation for aftermarket related disciplines, processes, or key performance indicators.
  • Regularly engage and influence senior leadership across the company and occasionally update and inform to executive leadership.
  • Leverage technology in the implemented strategy to ensure a scalable and repeatable approach across the organization.
  • Makes organizational recommendations related to sales compensation plans for aftermarket.

Experience, Education and Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of sales or related aftermarket experience is required. Industrial aftermarket management experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or Marketing, or applicable experience is required.
  • Communication Skills: communicates compellingly up and across the organization and is dynamic in approach based on the audience.
  • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Skills: The ability to identify root causes, map value delivery, and implement lean solutions approach is key to the success in the role. Certified lean management is a plus.
