The eCommerce Director, DTC is responsible for managing the ecommerce DTC business, driving growth, and delivering a rich digital brand experience to the consumer.

Primary Duties

  • Drive P&L growth to achieve top-line revenue & profitability targets, through leading cross-functional eCommerce team across product/UX, GTM, operations, & strategy & analytics
  • Collaborate with brand marketing team to present brand and product stories online in a compelling way that delivers a rich brand experience to the consumer and integrates with other brand channel messaging (wholesale, stores, brand marketing, etc.).
  • Develop VP.com ecommerce strategy based on brand vision, industry trends, and evolving consumer expectations. Identify opportunities and new ideas to propel the business forward.
  • Lead core ecommerce team tasked with combining brand and ecommerce expertise to deliver merchandising and content planning and execution for VP.com. Core team includes strategy & analytics, product management/UX, digital operations & GTM.
  • Develop and evangelize a compelling and achievable web product strategy, incorporating brand mission goals and overarching product organization vision
  • Partner with a broader eCommerce Team to leverage ecommerce digital marketing channels (SEM, SEO, affiliate, email, CSEs, etc.), CRM, technology, and brand.
  • Builds the vision and is responsible for executing the product management / development roadmap. Drive overall product discovery, development, and delivery in partnership with engineering leaders, achieving high-quality and on time releases
  • Leads GTM activations for seasonal moments, promos, and new product launches.
  • Manages digital operations to ensure on-hand inventory and aligning to plans to hit profitability targets.
  • Develop plans and forecasts along with supporting marketing budgets.
  • Provide ongoing and ad hoc analysis of business performance along with resulting recommendations to brand and ecommerce leadership.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master’s Degree a plus.
  • Seasoned eCommerce professional with 10-12+ years in ecommerce product management and/or general ecommerce management experience. Experience in digital merchandising, strategy/analytics, and digital ops/GTM a plus.
  • Experienced leader with 3-5+ years managing product or related eCommerce teams. Proven experience building, mentoring, and retaining a collaborative and high performing team, with experience managing multiple teams and/or managers being preferred
  • Obsessed with how success will be measured, focused on data driven decision making, and finding the story in the data
  • Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills to drive effective collaboration
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, collaboration, and project management skills
  • Naturally curious and a lifelong learner about customer trends and digital technology, with a test and learn mentality and an agile way of working to improve product(s)
  • Adaptable, comfortable with change and someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
