JOB QUALIFICATION

The Director of Research is responsible for the oversight and management of research studies and study personnel in the Department of Anesthesiology at Montefiore. The Director will manage the operational tasks required to ensure efficient execution of trials and studies within established budgets and timelines, and ensure all activities occur in compliance with appropriate regulations. Will coordinate efforts of internal and external resources to ensure efficient patient recruitment, trial site selection, trial plan optimization and trial execution. Hires, onboards, and trains new research personnel. Supports PIs in submission of external awards, study protocols, and creation of study budgets. Supervises and assists in the IRB submissions and maintenance. Oversees research billing charge adjudication process in Epic and ensures patients and status are current in Velos. Other duties as assigned. Reports to Chair and Unified Administrator.

REQUIREMENT

• Bachelor’s required, Master’s preferred.
• Two year’s experience.
• Expertise and knowledge of clinical research operations, compliance, and interaction with sponsors preferred
• Competency with MS Office Suite and Epic preferred
• Experience with electronic data entry, retrieval systems, research systems (Velos, REDCap, etc) preferred

Salary Range/Pay Rate: $94,142.88 to $125.523.84
