YWCA Dayton, dedicated to the elimination of racism and the empowerment of women, seeks an energetic, dedicated person to be an integral part of our team. The Director of the Center for Survivors of Sexual Violence and Therapy is responsible for ensuring that quality therapeutic services are provided to survivors and supportive and preventative programming is provided to survivors of sexual violence and human trafficking. This person supports the vision, mission and values of the YWCA Dayton and drives best practices for therapy and the Center for Survivors of Sexual Violence.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Grow a premier Montgomery and Preble County Center for Survivors of Sexual Violence, aligning programming in accordance with Ohio Alliance to End Sexual Violence (OAESV) core standards, focused on medical and legal advocacy, trauma therapy and community outreach.
  • Ensure fidelity of partner and funding base by developing external stakeholder relationships in Montgomery and Preble counties.
  • Oversee Center for Survivors of Sexual Violence programming including outcomes, quality assurance and quality improvement strategies, development and review of policies and procedures, and new program development and strategic planning.
  • Provide supervision of the Center for Survivors of Sexual Violence Manager and for volunteer advocates working in the community on behalf of the Center for Survivors of Sexual Violence.
  • Lead a premier Therapy program for survivors of interpersonal violence.
  • Provide clinical services including conducting diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, individual and group psychotherapy, and discharge planning for survivors.
  • Complete timely and accurate clinical notes and other pertinent documentation.
  • Effectively coordinate client care with other service providers and community resources to ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in individual supervision, case consultations, and agency meetings as needed.
  • Provision of clinical and administrative supervision with clinical staff and/or interns providing behavioral health services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:


SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS , EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & BENEFITS
:

  • Proven body of interest in violence against women work.
  • Strong clinical acumen and competence to provide psychotherapy to individuals, adults and children that have experienced trauma involving mental health struggles, domestic violence, sexual violence, and homelessness.
  • Vibrant, Mission focused leadership with a vision for the future.
  • 2-3 years of experience serving survivors with multiple barriers and from diverse populations.
  • Program development experience with exemplary planning and organizational skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Experience with building engaging partnerships and productive collaborations that enhance services offered to survivors of sexual violence.
  • Must be able to represent YWCA Dayton professionally in the community, with a mindset of diversity and inclusion.
  • Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field required.
  • Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) required.
  • Master’s degree in Social Services or related field preferred.
  • Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of Ohio preferred.
