Ferguson:

Directs the professional channel business strategy for all aspects of the FEI account. Create the vision, strategy, and key initiatives to achieve our strategic plan growth objectives while working closely with the national account team to establish joint strategy and alignment with the customer. This person will develop strong relationships with the key decision makers within the accounts sales/channel, marketing, supply chain, and geographic segments while effectively collaborating with the appropriate internal teams and resources necessary to achieve the desired results. This person will report directly to the Vice President & General Manager, Professional Channels, KBNA.


Specific Responsibilities


  • Develops, implements, and executes the Strategic Sales Growth Plan and supporting programing that achieves strategic and financial objectives for Kohler and the strategic customer.
  • Develops, implements, and executes growth plan initiatives to achieve sales plan for Kohler, Sterling, Kallista, and Lighting as detailed in specific OKR’s that the team executes, adjusts, and adapts to.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with Product, Channel, e-commerce, Finance and Supply Chain teams to provide timely information such as demand forecasts, advertising effectiveness, pricing, market intelligence, exclusive product recommendations, market penetration, prices, distribution, product acceptance and performance as well as exclusive product opportunities/recommendations.
  • Hires, develops, trains, and challenges a strong sales team. Ensures the team is executing on their plans, uncovering new growth opportunities, removing obstacles with solutions, developing in their careers and benefits from advocacy when earned and deserved.
  • Monitors account performance and recommends action where accounts are not performing or where they are excelling and why.
  • Prepare and submit recommendations relative to changes in existing sales policies, procedures, to effect improvements to increase profit, volume, or other solutions.
  • Responsible for promoting and maintaining the highest possible relationship with accounts to assure alignment and desired results.
  • Develops proposals to create a full range of value-added services for consumers, secondary influences, and distributors to strengthen Kohler Co.’s position in the market, increase market share and brand image and increase profitability.
  • Evaluate current sales and delivery methods, develop, and provide models for alternative strategies for delivery of product to various customers and end users.
  • Oversight of Sales Training through virtual and in person to assure development and growth of the Field Sales organization.

Demand Planning:

Demand Planning will support the process for KBNA S&OP Demand Planning. Responsibilities will include deploying a world-class S&OP Demand Planning & Management process and tools. Responsible for establishing processes, parameters, system utilization and tools to align demand planning activities to drive world class forecast accuracy and bias. Support demand planning and management resources in using the systems and tools to their fullest capability; including improved statistical forecast methods & advanced analytics modeling related to key internal and external data (Point of Sale, Inventory, GDP, housing starts etc).


Specific Responsibilities

  • Leverage industry best practices including Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment (CPFR) for wholesale customers. Ensure all forecasts align with historical and projected Point of Sale (POS) information to minimize forecast error resulting in improved service levels as measured by inventory health and Lines on-time and in-full (LOTIF).
  • Identify and establish relationships with key stakeholders from distribution (FEI, Hajoca and top independents).
  • Collaborate on information to best determine inventory levels, WOS, order forecast, POS, capabilities.
  • Determine joint capability solutions that improve experience, profitability, and speed to market.
  • Evaluate potential benefits and improvements within MAI and VMI.
  • Apply robust statistical forecasting methods to drive world class forecast accuracy.
  • Document key market and customer level assumptions and collaborate with the Demand Planning S&OP team to share this information. Leverage the insight to better predict customer buying behaviors.
  • Establish sustainable processes to consistently and effectively manage and utilize key data sources for collaborative forecasting such as Point of Sale (POS) and correlate information with historical orders performance to ensure future forecasts are based on end-customer behavior.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Ten years plumbing product sales experience with a consistent track record of results.
  • Sales and Sales Management experience with a well-established company in a consumer products industry.
