Job description

A young man with intellectual disabilities living in Williamsport, PA seeks a part-time individual to support him in his desired activities outside his home so he can increase community interaction and gain independence. The person in need of support enjoys attending his sporting events, Superstars drumming program, lifting weights and swimming at his local YMCA, going out for lunch, taking walks, and shopping.

Responsibilities Include:

• Facilitating his desired community and recreational outings on Saturdays including transportation (mileage reimbursement included).
• Providing support with his desired hobbies and social activities.
• Providing companionship and supportive listening, building independence, maintaining safety, and charting or taking notes for others to review.
• Ideal Staff should: demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible.

Job/Details/Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older, have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, reliable transportation, a working cell phone, and submit to background checks.
• Experience in the field of intellectual disabilities is preferred.
• Must be a positive and patient person with experience to support the individual safely in his community and help him with his Everday Life.

Part Time: Seeking Saturday support along with flexibility to add extra hours on some Sundays and/or weeknights after 3 pm. Estimated 6-10 hours weekly support with the potential to expand shifts.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $16.50 per hour
