We Are Seeking: an outstanding individual to join our team as Dining Room Supervisor.

Where You Will Be: You will be serving as Dining Room Supervisor for our beautiful community in Venice, Florida which consists of 130 units in a magnificent 130,000 square foot building. The entire campus boasts lush vegetation and gorgeous finishes.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Works to assure a high standard of excellence, customer service and hospitality
  • Responsible for cleanliness and sanitation of dining room and kitchen areas
  • Manages schedules for both servers, cooks and utility workers
  • Works to resolve satisfaction concerns, resident problems, and service related issues
  • Assist with planning menus (using Grove Menus), and ordering adequate raw food and supplies-add in absence of the Culinary Services Director
  • Executing daily meal service for all residents; including special diets
  • Education to associates on special diets
  • Serves as a supervisor; assists with hiring, discipline and termination in conjunction with Executive Director/Associate Director
  • Assists with training and education of staff (in conjunction with Culinary Services Director)
  • Plans daily dining room set up, seating charts, and side work
  • Ensures associates attend monthly in-services and required training
  • Ensures associates abide by dress code, wearing of uniforms, name tags, etc
  • Maintain a high degree of resident satisfaction through consistent delivery of high-quality service.
  • Foster ideal demeanor, timeliness, work ethic while providing highest quality and optimum service.
  • Exemplify at all times Community standards of cleanliness, sanitation and organization.
  • Exemplify Community standards in customer service, assisting residents, and ensuring the residents are treated with dignity and respect at all times. \
  • Responsible for the overall operations, coordination, appearance, and maintenance of dining room and serving staff in order to create and maintain a positive experience for all customers.
  • Provide leadership, development/training, counseling, and management standards with all serving staff.
  • Responsible for adhering to food quality, appearance and presentation standards at all times.
  • Ensure company standards for all full staffed, operational and stocked dining room.
  • Exhibit serving standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Knowledge in all areas of serving, customer service, and shift/staffing organization. Set tables and maintain workstations in proper order. Take orders, provide service and requests items both graciously and courteously. Answer pertinent questions about menu items. Clear dishes from tables during and after meal service, assist with dishwashing. Serve customers using proper serving etiquette and promote an inviting dining atmosphere.
  • Knowledge of diets provided and served correctly per Standard Operating Procedure and Policy.
  • Exemplify Community standards of fully staffed, operational, and stocked dining room.
  • Exhibit dining room appearance and presentation standards at all times.
  • Knowledge in areas of serving, preparation and shift organization.
  • And all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Minimum of 1 year staff management experience required.
  • At least 1 year of progressively responsible leadership work experienced.
  • Minimum of 1 years restaurant/senior living or equivalent serving experience preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
