• Assist with developing written food service procedural guidelines as related to dining services.
• Assist with developing and implementing training programs to enhance the overall dining experience, including plate presentation, recipe development, and meal service.
• Develop and implement nursing center training for presentation of puree meals.
• Assist the food services staff in the development and use of departmental procedural guidelines, equipment, supplies, etc.
• Provide guidance and/or training to Food Services Managers to assist with compliance with budgetary guidelines.
• Promote the safe handling techniques for food preparation and service.
• Assist nursing center management in the review of appropriate data regarding patient/family concerns/complaint regarding dining services. Assist nursing center in reaching resolution regarding concerns/complaints regarding dining services.
• Provide training as appropriate in preparation, cooking, and delivery of meals, managing and monitoring food services supplies, and budgeting and general kitchen operations.
• Coordinate dining services with the overall food services department and with other related departments (i.e., Nursing, Housekeeping, Social Services, etc.).

• An Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Food Service Management or related field. Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) preferred.
• A minimum of two years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in food services management.
• Experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care center, or other related medical facility setting strongly preferred.
• Training in cost control, food management, etc.
