Digital Media Writer – The Auto Club Group

What you will do:

This position is responsible for creating a variety of content for our digital platforms including articles, copy and concepts for infographics, video creative briefs and scripts, etc. for topics spanning all AAA products and services for ACG customers. This position creates, publishes, promotes products and programs (and their components) across the Company’s digital content channels (web, blogs, email, mobile, social media, and web applications).

This role is a key member of the content team and is important to continue ACG’s efforts to create education and promotional content to keep our member base engaged and informed.

The position crafts written content to engage and educate Members and prospects via content published on the ACG website, Living Hub, YouTube channel and on our ACG blog. In addition, this writer position will work closely with our videographer to develop video concepts and scripts that meet our need to develop more visual content to reach younger prospects for membership.

Additional, this person will assist in content implementation within the AEM CMS and creating analytic reports via Adobe Analytics.

Crucial KPI’s for the content team include but are not limited to; membership growth from multiple generations, promote insurance products and services, develop positive brand experiences, building new audiences to market to, and to drive traffic to digital channels to inform, educate and engage our members and prospects.

  • The Digital Media Writer will earn a competitive salary of $53,000 to $80,000 annually with annual bonus potential based on performance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications or a related field.

Work Environment:

This is a remote position. May travel occasionally to interviews, training and team meetings.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

College level coursework in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a related field

Experience:

  • Three to five years of experience copywriting, writing and editing for a digital audience and creating content related to marketing, agency, marketing communications, journalism or Public Relations.
  • Interviewing, developing video scripts, storyboarding, researching, reporting and editorial workflows.
  • Content management through a Content Management System (CMS)

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding the digital and social consumer experience and needs. Optimizing digital marketing content to audience based on metrics.
  • Using a variety of sources, including industry experts, brand advocate, AAA National and AAA Clubs, etc. to obtain relevant content.
  • Understanding of and working within corporate identity standards
  • Participating and presenting at meetings with project stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with other writers, designers and developers to curate and create multimedia editorial content. Includes creative skills to develop story concepts, angles and packages and write engaging content with dynamic headlines for various digital formats.
  • Executing content strategy, ensuring branding standards and voice are consistently maintained across assignments. Includes proofing and fact-checking all materials.
  • Using desktop publishing tools, including Microsoft Office products, Adobe CC, and project tracking software (such as Workfront)
  • Strong working knowledge of key social media platforms in a business setting (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc.). Using social media distribution and monitoring tools (Khoros.), and analytic tools (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, etc.).
  • Understanding of content creation for financial institutions in the insurance and banking industries helpful. In particular, laws and regulations related to marketing in financial and insurance industries in multi-state markets
  • Able to coordinate multiple projects with deadlines and adapt to changes in work flow as needed
