Job description
Alpine House is looking for a full time cook for our assisted living facility.
- Responsible for maintenance of a clean and safe kitchen and food prep areas and ensures that all daily, weekly, and monthly kitchen cleaning is maintained in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and facility policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Responsible for keeping inventory of perishable and non-perishable food items at an appropriate level and complete a weekly food inventory.
- Responsible for completing weekly food order through authorized food vendor of the facilities choice and informing the facility manager when food inventory is low and additional orders need to be made.
- Responsible for maintaining all kitchen maintenance logs including but not limited to; temperature logs for the freezer and refrigerator, kitchen inspection and cleaning logs, grease trap logs, menus, and meal tickets.
- Ensures that all staff who assist in the kitchen are educated on sanitation and kitchen safety procedures.
