DIETARY AIDES – Full-Time – Generations at Rock Island
Generations at Rock Island has Immediate Opening for a Dietary Aide at its facility in Rock Island, Illinois. The position available is Full-Time (Non-Exempt) with some 8-hour shifts and some 6 hours shifts. Every other weekend required.
The Dietary Aide performs a key function in the center’s Dietary Department, providing assistance to the Food Service Supervisor/Cook.

Responsibilities of the Dietary Aide:
- Assist in the preparation and service of beverages and foods as assigned
- Coordinate daily dietary services with the nursing staff
- Read and interpret Diet Cards
- Deliver food to residents' rooms
- Set up and take down dining areas
- May take inventory of food and supplies
- Ensure work areas are clean, organized and safe
Dietary Aide:
- Food Handlers Certification required
- Food handling experience required
- Basic awareness/knowledge of sanitation practices as it relates to food preparation
- Experience in a long term care facility a plus
- Ability to read, speak and understand English
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must have compassion and tolerance for older adults
