EQ3 is an innovative leader in furniture and accessory design with retail locations across Canada and the US and a rapidly growing eCommerce presence. We are seeking a Design Consultant to join our growing Retail team. This is a full-time position located at EQ3 New York City location in Chelsea. The Design Consultant will provide professional sales & service to our customers.

THE SKILLS YOU'LL NEED:
1-2 years' experience in commission-based retail sales environment

Proficient in operations and systems; including POS system and Microsoft Office

Possess a creative flair or instinct that would be an asset to EQ3 sales objectives

Knowledgeable of every product & home accessory offered within the store

Proficient in operations and systems; including POS system and Microsoft Office

Detail oriented in all aspects of the job

Creative and persuasive communication sales style

Excellent organizational skills and able to multi-task

Demonstrated talent for effective use of computerized systems Microsoft office.

Self-motivated, able to work well with little or no supervision, and a strong positive attitude

MORE ABOUT THE ROLE:
Assist customers through their selection and purchase through defining their ‘needs' and marrying those needs to the benefit of all product combinations and functions.

Responsible for driving and suggesting in-store and in-home consultations

Provide complete individualized design solution based on identified customer need, including creating floor plans for customers, to close sale.

Maintains company standards regarding personal and store sales/performance metrics.

Responsible for tracking orders through completion

Establish rapport and obtain customers appointments and in-home consultations.
