This posting is for a Deputy Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) Leader position within the Mechanical Systems, Externals, and Nacelles (MSEN) organization supporting Externals Military Advanced Engine Programs. The CIPT Deputy Leader will provide leadership to a team engaged in detailed design for a new advanced engine project. The Deputy will secure funding for projects through business case preparation and bid & proposal activities. The Deputy will act as L3 and/or Control Account Manager (CAM) for several cost control accounts. As part of the CIPT Leadership Team, you will ensure technical excellence, task execution, and support planning. The Deputy role will require on-site presence in East Hartford. Occasional domestic travel is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the successful execution of program objectives, including design milestones, technology advancements, budget planning, and EVMS management.

  • Day-to-day interactions between the Program Management Office, SIPT, and MSEN Leadership to assure that all customer requirements and business needs are met.

  • Embrace a role as the Chief Product Owner for an Agile organization using the Scrum framework for product development.

  • Expand and strengthen customer working relationship through clear and concise communication.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Engineering, or in a related technical field and 10+ years of prior relevant experience in the Aerospace industry, OR an Advanced Degree in Engineering, or in a related field and 7+ years of prior relevant experience in the Aerospace industry.

  • US Citizenship is required due to government contracts.

  • Active US Government Security Clearance and/or be able to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance.

  • Ability to travel <10%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active US Government Security Clearance.

  • IPT Leader Experience.

  • Strong proficiency and a proven record of accomplishments on aerospace components.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Experience with Agile Project Management, preferably as a Scrum Master or Product Owner.

  • Prior experience as a CAM/L3 using EVMS tools like Primavera, SAP, & Dassian.
