Dental Claims Adjustment Clerk - WFH (Remote) Must sit in Missouri

Shift: 8:00am - 4:30pm M-F

Duration: 6 Contract (Potentially contract to hire) until June

Why did these roles open up?

Previously this client has implemented a good amount of new technology they have been using to process claims. This new technology has caused about 30,000 dental claims to be back logged in addition to new calls coming in daily. This client is looking for help for about 6 months, potentially more, to assist with the mediation of these claims and future claim.

  • Call Volume - 70 - 80 calls per day

Job Description:

CLAIMS

Delta Dental is upgrading their claims software. They need to hire Dental Claims Processors to come in and keep up with production, while a portion of the current staff train on the new software.

Summary: Process dental claims

Responsibilities

  • Process claims submitted for payment
  • Process claims submitted for predetermination
  • Review x-rays and make benefit determination or refer claim to consultant for decision
  • Prepare information request letters and/or contact dental offices for info needed

CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • Provide assistance to dental offices, subscribers and group contacts via written and verbal communication. Investigates and resolves

problems and communicates benefit information as requested—taking whatever steps necessary to resolve inquiry.

  • Daily call average is between 65-80 calls
  • Responds to customer inquiries (written, verbal and electronic) regarding benefits, participating doctors and eligibility.
  • Analyze claim problems and take appropriate action to ensure that the proper claim payment is made. Provide necessary

follow-up and initiate correspondence.

  • Keep informed of benefit changes, new group enrollment and group terminations.
  • Actively seek refunds (collection) when necessary.
