Job description
The Dental Assistant is responsible for assisting the dentist in clinical and administrative duties, including; prepare patient for procedure or exam, sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, prepare materials and assist during dental procedures.
Taking radiographs, impressions, and records- Scheduling patients electronically
- Using computers to accurately update patient's records
- Assisting chairside
- Fabricating temporary crowns and bridges
- Assisting with lab tasks as needed
- Properly cleaning rooms and setting up for procedures accurately
- Basic knowlegde of 4 handed dentistry
- Ability to take impressions and pour models
- X-ray certification and ability to capture adequate radiographs
- Efficient, Felxible, and Reliable
- Team player
- Great clinical and communication skills
- Dental Experience (at least 6 months)
- Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, BLS and infection control training as required by law.
- High school diploma or equivalent. (preferred)
- Dentrix experience
- i-Tero experience
- Making bleaching trays
