Demand Planner ? Lebanon, PA

Currently, we are seeking an experienced Demand Planning Analyst for our Hardwood Lumber Mill.

The Demand Planning Analyst primary purpose is to facilitate and lead the demand forecasting processes throughout the Company. The function is to develop and improve forecast accuracy, demand forecast processes and techniques to create the best estimation of future demand in collaboration with sales, operations, and other functional areas. Demand forecasting is the cornerstone and building block for Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP). The sales forecasts, new business opportunities, promotional launch needs, customer expectations, and internal supply constraints will be used to develop production plans, by week. Strong collaboration with Supply chain, Operations, Sales, IT, Customer Service and Executive Management will be critical to meeting business goals.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

Assist in demand planning and management activities of company products.

Develop demand forecasts based on demand patterns and business trends.

Make forecast adjustments based on seasonal products, promotions, and discounts.

Determine demand forecasts to support in budgeting and inventory management.

Provide guidance to demand planning team as needed.

Assist in developing and executing demand plan to achieve company goals.

Perform market analysis and determine customer demands.

Follow company rules and regulations.

Maintain demand planning systems to improve forecast accuracy.

Perform root cause analysis of demand issues and provide permanent resolutions.

Escalate complex demand issues to management for immediate resolutions.

Work with inventory team to monitor inventory levels and replenish appropriate products.

Provide forecast updates to management, inventory, and sales teams on regular basis.

Schedule monthly meetings to determine customer response for new products and price revisions and forecast meetings with all customers as required.

Drive continuous improvement of forecast quality. Develop relevant metrics, tools, and analytics to drive our forecast error, improving accuracy.

Collaborate with Operations and Sales in creating an attainable Supply/Replenishment plan based on demand plan and supply side capacity/capabilities.

Drive gap closure by providing analytics for Operations with focus on customer facing metrics

Collaborate with IT to ensure the latest use of relevant applications to support the demand planning activities

Special Requirements:

Strong quantitative and analytical abilities. Methodical approach to data analysis.

Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization.

Ability to handle multiple tasks, work independently, and be detailed orientated.

Handle additional assigned tasks proficiently.

Job Specifications:

3-5 years progressive work-related experience in relevant discipline in a cross functional environment.

Core competences ? Ethics and values, integrity and trust, results driven, customer focused, process management and continuous improvement.

Advanced Excel skills - Business intelligence tools (Power BI)

Education Requirements:

Bachelor?s degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
