DAC – ALCOHOL & DRUG – ADVANCED PRACTICE REGISTERED NURSE

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • The selected APRN-PMH will join an outstanding multidisciplinary team consisting of psychiatrists, other APRNs, registered nurses, counselors, case managers, and administrative and support staff.
  • As an important member of this team under the supervision of a delegating physician, the APRN will:
  • Complete psychiatric diagnostic assessments and follow ups and makes recommendations for treatment within an evidence-based framework.
  • Demonstrate strong clinical judgment in assessment, application of diagnostic criteria, clinical formulations, and sound triage decisions.
  • Provide consultation regarding client care to clinical staff.
  • Actively contribute to the treatment center and organization through on-going collaborative efforts.
  • This position serves adults only.
  • Provider will not be required to prescribe controlled substances (Buprenorphine, Suboxone, Benzodiazepines, other) at either facility so DEA is not required. Medication Assisted Treatment at our facilities only include oral and IM Naltrexone (Vivitrol).
Minimum Training & Experience:
  • APRN-PMH currently licensed in the state of Georgia.
  • All candidates will be considered, but experience working in an addiction treatment or treating individuals with substance use disorders in any setting (detoxification, inpatient, residential, IOP or outpatient) is preferred.
  • Proficient use of a computer and ability to utilize an Electronic Health Record and other applications.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Works indoors in a clinic and is able to use telehealth in a hybrid model (as allowed by regulations).
  • May be required to physically assist clients, may need to carry objects up to 10 pounds.

  • Able to work as part of clinical and medical teams that promote learning, excellence, and optimal outcomes for clients.
  • Critical thinking, exemplary interpersonal skills, and a consistent, contributing demeanor is required. Ability to work from a person-centered, recovery oriented, and trauma informed philosophy in client care.
  • Must have computer skills with ability to use an electronic health record and other applications efficiently.
