We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Caterpillar team as a Customer Success Office (CSO) Team Leader in Caterpillar’s Construction Digital and Technology team. This role ensures that managed accounts maximize the value of their telematics and fleet data. This position works directly with these customers to ensure that the data is always available and accurate and to help customers use that data to drive business results.

Job Duties

The CSO Team Leader will:

1) Become a trusted advisor for managing equipment and fleet data to drive customer value.

2) Ensure that the data is always flowing from the machines to the customer, including data from third parties via API.

3) Monitor data quality and provide direction to customers and dealers to resolve any issues.

4) Lead continued development of proprietary CSO monitoring tools to improve efficiency and streamlined ability to identify issues across all monitored assets.

5) Develop and maintain custom reports to improve fleet management and business processes.

6) Consult with dealers and corporate account managers regarding the data needs of customers.

7) Oversee the activities of a small group of analysts and project team members.

8) Ensure that the requests coming to the CSO team are prioritized and managed to deliver on the multiple projects.

9) Provide application/technical leadership, guidance, and assistance to other team members, including participating in the reviews of functional and technical designs to identify areas of risk and/or missing requirements.
10) Create and provide team metrics and reports on the various activities occurring within the CSO solutions.
11) Represent the team’s status back to the customers requesting work.
12) Coordinate integrated testing and customer acceptance testing of components that require careful planning and execution to ensure timely, quality results.
13) Escalate and resolve issues that the team encounters.

14) Develop new business and manage CSO customers through the development of sound business relationships.
15) Assist customers with documentation, training, and usability efforts.
16) Participate in or be responsible for developing operational level agreements or service level agreements and for the metrics required for those agreements.

17) Leverage expertise in customer and fleet data to assist other Caterpillar divisions with agreed upon objectives.

18) Identify and help develop corporate level improvements in telematics monitoring abilities.

Basic Qualifications

This position requires a four-year degree (or equivalent experience) and progressively related experience of at least 6-10 years.

Must be able to deal with sensitive issues and/or persuade others on new methods of data application or new technology.

Previous demonstrated experience as a project manager or project leader is required.

Top Candidates will also have

Previous experience with equipment management or technology in the construction industry would be highly desirable.

Must have ability to work with people from many different backgrounds and cultures, internally and externally, with the appropriate influence and ability to resolve differences.

Adept at managing business change, project management methods and tools, migration planning, SLAs, etc.

This role will require strong organizational and delegation skills.

Additional Information

The location for this position is Mossville, IL with additional locations in Westminster, CO, Chicago, IL, Irving, TX, and Cary, NC.

Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.

This position may require up to 25% travel.

$118,632.00 - $177,948.00
