Bird In Hand Consignment Shop is a delightful non-profit store in the heart of Chestnut Hill, Pennsylvania. It's a perfect place to search for small furniture items, art, collectibles, china, silver and more.

This is a part time position, with a week including Tuesday through Saturday. Work hours are 10:00 am to 5:00pm.

The Customer Service Assistant will oversee retail and consignment operations ensuring CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSISTANT BIRD IN HAND CONSIGNMENT SHOP

Will oversee retail and consignment operations ensuring high standards and customer satisfaction are meet on a daily basis.

Works closely with the Executive Director regarding company policies, procedures, marketing, as well as overseeing the shop. This position is to be done on-site in Chestnut Hill, Pennsylvania.

Develops and maintains relationships with consignors and customers.

Maintains the orderliness of displays, ensuring that the shop is clean, shoppable, and safe.

Collaborates and communicates well with shop staff.

Checks company email, voicemail and other communications daily and responds promptly.

Maintains weekly staff schedule.

Oversees the professional development of staff.

Implements company policies and procedures.

Assists and manages shop operations, customers and other team members.

Assists with consignment appointments.

Answers questions about merchandise and the consignment process.

Processes payments accurately using POS system.

Values and prices items appropriately based on brand, condition, style, and salability.

Consults with team members and performs online research in order to price items appropriately.

Inputs items in consignment software system and tags all items.

Maintains displays of consigned items.

Provides support to consignors by checking inventory, running reports, and performing consignor payouts as needed.

Navigates between our inventory, POS, and calendar software.

Posts images of merchandise on the internet.

Enters data in the inventory program with accuracy and speed.

Performs online research on multiple websites.

Previous management and specialty consignment experience is needed. high standards and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with our Executive Director to manage the salesroom, sales transactions, shop upkeep, consignment selection, and caring customer service.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
