Position Vacancy
MGS Cleaning Services, LLC is seeking to hire a motivated, responsible Cleaning Supervisor to work at an educational institution located on the east-side of Manhattan, New York City. As an MG Cleaning Services employee, you will be responsible for the overall supervision of cleaning and disinfecting of the pubic and non-public areas of the facility by the cleaning staff. The right candidate must be available Monday through Friday 3:45 PM to 11:45 PM.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) required.
- Provide a professional level of service to meet and exceed client expectations.
- Ensure personnel are adhering to MG policies including, but not limited to attendance and punctuality.
- Proactively identify related issues and take appropriate action to address.
- Works safely at all times;
- Actively attend all required meetings;
- Effectively communicates necessary information and status updates to manager;
- Evaluate team members and recommend/deliver training to improve performance;
- Partner with other departments to accomplish company goals;
- Provide training and guidance to janitorial staff;
- Know all products and assist team as needed;
- Take inventory of all cleaning supplies and equipment and informing management when supplies are depleted;
- Assign janitorial duties to staff and regularly inspect their work to ensure that established standards are met;
- Maintain good quality standards in a safe and clean work environment.
Qualifications and Skills
- Must be fluent in Spanish and English language.
- Must own/have access to reliable transportation.
- Must possess a minimum of 5 years of prior supervisory experience.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and climbs stairs for extended periods of time.
- Must have a dependable and reliable attendance record.
- Must be customer service oriented and represent MG in a professional manner.
- Must be a positive role model while on duty.
- Must be proficient with computer applications including Microsoft Office and the ability to send, receive, and review emails, text messages, and voicemails.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to lift and carry approximately 15 lbs. to 20 lbs. of equipment and/ or trash
- Must be able to operate common cleaning equipment such as a vacuum and a mist duster / blower, etc.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, supplies, and techniques for cleaning
- Must be available to work overtime, when required.
The Cleaner Supervisor position is a full-time position that will be reporting to a MGS Cleaning site supervisor.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
