Summary:

Reporting to the compliance, safety and facilities manager, the incumbent performs custodial and grounds keeping duties for multiple warehouse and office facilities in the Des Moines metro area.

Essential Job Functions:

Custodial (70%)

· Perform general custodial duties for multiple warehouse and office facilities in Des Moines metro area including emptying waste baskets, mopping, vacuuming, and sweeping floors, dusting furniture, and sanitizing bathroom sinks and toilets to meet cleanliness and health standards.

· Restock restroom, kitchen, and breakroom supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and garbage bags

· Transfer trash to garbage bins

· Ensure doors are locked and alarms set upon leaving facilities at end of work period

· Report safety or fire hazards to direct supervisor, promptly

Groundskeeping (30%)

· Perform grounds keeping duties such as mowing, weed eating, watering, and fertilizing lawns, sidewalk snow removal and ice-melt application, raking leaves, pruning, and collecting and disposing of litter.

Competencies:

· Attention to detail and thoroughness

· Good written and oral communication skills

· Strong time management skills

· Good organizational skills

· Working knowledge of industrial/office cleaning practices, supplies and equipment

Equipment:

Mops, vacuum cleaners, brooms, rakes, lawn mowers, snow shovels, and ice melt spreaders

Qualifications:

· Six months of experience in building custodial services

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
