CRISIS INTERVENTION SPECIALIST (Full-time/Night Shift)

We are seeking Crisis Intervention Workers to join our Crisis & Information Hotline in Salem, Oregon to work from 12 a.m. to 8 a.m.

Please note that this position is located on-site and is not a remote position.

Sign-on Bonus: $500

Employee Referral: $500

Night Shift Differential: $1.00

YOUR ROLE:
Supports the Crisis & Information Hotline mission of providing 24/7/365 support to NWHS patients and general community members who may be experiencing suicidal ideation or emotional distress. Provides crisis intervention, risk assessment screening, safety planning, follow-up support, and advocacy based on client's assessed needs. Advocates for callers in need of emergency financial assistance. Refers callers seeking information on local resources to appropriate community partners and/or to the Mid-Valley Resources (MVR) website. Must maintain a QMHA-R level certification. Must be available to work on various shifts including weekends, nights, and holidays.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associates degree or 2 years of current enrollment in a BA/BS program with a focus in psychology, social work, mental health, or behavioral sciences field. BA/BS degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum one year of crisis intervention experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of an integrated team.
• Demonstrated ability to use appropriate problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Understanding of Trauma-Informed Care models.
