Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Hurst-Euless-Bedford is a 296-bed, acute-care facility serving Northeast Tarrant County since 1973. With more than 550 physicians on its medical staff, hospital services include outpatient surgery, women’s services, a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, a dedicated oncology unit and cardiac rehabilitation.

What You’ll Need

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent is required.
  • Associate's Degree is preferred.
  • (2) years of hospital staff (MD) credentialing experience is required.
  • (6) years of hospital staff or credentialing experience is highly preferred.
  • (6 to 7) years of credentialing experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
  • Medical Staff Coordinator Certification is preferred.
  • Ability to function in a demanding environment with frequent interruptions is highly needed.
  • Ability to navigate multiple projects simultaneously and effectively support a busy Medical Staff Office.
  • Ability to interface with physicians, advanced practice professionals, medical staff leaders, hospital management and administration in a positive and professional manner.
  • Dedicated to the highest quality in all aspects of your work.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize work daily.

In addition to the qualifications an experienced Medical Staff Coordinator/Credentialing Coordinator will possess the following skills. These sills are highly preferred.

  • Facilitates all aspects of credentialing, medical staff credentialing, privileging and proctoring for physicians and advanced practice professionals/allied health practitioners.
  • Medical Staff Committee Management and information flow through to the Governing Board.
  • Experience with Credentials Committee and Medical Executive Committee meetings and activities.
  • Experience with credentialing database (MSOW / Verity would be a plus).
  • Experience maintaining licensures such as state medical licenses, DEAs, malpractice insurance.
  • Onsite resource for staff governance documents (medical staff bylaws, rules/regulations, and medical staff policies / procedures).
  • Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards and requirements (i.e., the Joint Commission, CMS)
  • Familiarity with Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE).
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Must possess strong communication and writing skills.
