Currently we are searching for a motivated and talented Cosmetologist to join our team at the Margaritaville Resort in Gatlinburg, TN. Located in the center of Gatlinburg, the gateway to Smoky Mountain National Park, this resort has 163 rooms and suites, Spa, Margaritaville inspired License To Chill Bar & Grill and Joe Merchants coffee shop, 4,000 square feet of meeting space and additional scenic outdoor event space. POSITION SUMMARY:
Perform a broad range of beauty services including hair, nail, waxing, spray tan and makeup.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Introduce yourself to clients as they arrive.
Perform thorough consultation to outline desired results for services selected.
Recommend and provide information to clients regarding type of hair style and treatment suitable for desired result.
Educate clients on service enhancements that will ensure desired results based on consultation.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge about spa services and retail items offered to better assist guests.
Clean and disinfect work areas exceeding standards and policies outlined by the property and TN State Law.
Perform opening, mid and closing duties as assigned.
Handle other duties as assigned by managers.
Qualifications and Requirements
Must have a current Cosmetology license in the State of Tennessee. Required training in state law, basic use of chemicals for hair services, waxing, hair cutting and styling, special event hair and natural nail enhancement. Preferred training in spray tan, event makeup, artificial nail enhancement, and esthetic services.
Must be willing to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Friendly and outgoing personality.
Professional appearance with strong verbal communication skills required with an understanding and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
