Meyer Ace Hardware is a fourth-generation owned retail hardware business that prides itself in servicing our customers, and the community in which we live. We are currently looking to add a brand-new Corporate Merchandiser position to our award-winning staff. This person will be expected to travel between all five Meyer locations, ranging from Saint Ignace to Gaylord.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist each store in keeping planograms up to date in all departments
• Reset various discovery sets across all departments of the store
• Work directly with an assigned associate on planogram implementation
• Sort through non discovery merchandise and code SKUs in the system so that they are not reordered back into the store
• Evaluate various discovery sets and determine which sets needs updating
• Review ADW reports to determine which merchandise gets discontinued
• Evaluate and reset endcap displays
• Assist all locations with executing monthly signage
• Inspect merchandised products to verify it meets merchandising guidelines
• Verify that closeout product is labeled correctly
• Learn about product we sell to become more helpful
• Be available for customer service when called upon
• Assist/help develop non-Ace product displays, as needed
• Provide a high level of customer care

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Prior merchandising experience is required
• Can effectively follow planograms and make alterations to planograms where needed
• Can creatively take given merchandise and cleanly merchandise a set without a planogram
• Must be well organized
• Must show the ability to stay on task
• Must have a welcoming and outgoing personality
• Must be a self-starter and motivated to independently complete tasks
• Must be able to work directly with ownership
• Must be confident enough in your abilities that you are able to voice your opinions freely on what you believe needs to be done
• Hardware/Home Improvement setting experience is desired but not required
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving history and be able to travel to and from the Upper Peninsula to the Lower Peninsula

The minimum physical requirements for this position include:

• Ability to stand for an extended period, walk, reach, and bend to perform job duties
• Move and handle merchandise up to 40 pounds, and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and perform all functions as set forth
