The responsibilities of the Corporate Controller are to coordinate, plan, and report the financial activities to the CFO. This position oversees and audits the accounting and bookkeeping personnel as it relates to these areas within TLC Properties and all Coryell Collaborative Group entities. Researches the records of the finance department in order to create financial reports for each entity. This position assists in annual budgets for various internal departments and compiles the data for the annual budget. With final approval from the CFO, this position can give reports to outside investors and owners as to the financial status of CCG entities. This position will also be required to interact with subcontractors, internal departments, and managers regarding each entities quality related issues such as internal audits, financial status, and standard operating procedures.

Experience/Education:

Required:

8+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience required.

2+ years of experience as Controller. (or Accounting Manager with supervisory experience.)

BS/BA in Accounting.

Preferred:

Multi-family housing experience preferred.

MBA in Accounting or related field.

Essential Job Duties:

• Prepares supporting documentation for the annual tax return for outside accountants.
• Develops and creates processes for recording transactions between departments and/or companies.
• Reviews journal entries and account reconciliations for the monthly closing process and month-end financials for CFO approval.
• Reviews the corporate Accounting Department’s work for accuracy, closes the period, and submits the monthly reports to the CFO for final review.
• Prepares the monthly financial statements, related footnotes and supporting schedules to submit to CFO for final review.
• Prepares and ensures accuracy of the daily cash flow management.
• Monitors the cash flow accounts and monthly financial statements to identify any issues in the balances to be presented to CFO.
• Analyzes the monthly budgets by incorporating historical results and future assumptions
• Oversees and makes recommendations for the implementation of corporate policies and procedures; documents and maintains adequate and effective internal controls.
• Makes recommendations, documents, and maintains adequate and effective internal controls.
• Performs various audits of internal control processes to verify continued compliance with company policies.
• Makes recommendations to improve timely and accurate reporting within the accounting department.
• Complies with all federal and state laws, and regulations including GAAP and HUD reporting standards.
• Provides an analytical review to the CFO as it relates to the balance sheet, income statement and cash flow perspective as well as an overall business perspective, to include budget variances.
• Maintain account records for any owner-associated company or account.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $72,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
