About the Position:

Our ideal candidate is a strong writer and idea generator with a collaborative attitude, as well as a detail-oriented and organized individual capable of maintaining processes and procedures at a fast-growing company. In this role, good project management skills and the ability to respond quickly to last minute changes at a fast pace are required. This copywriter position reports directly to the Sr Content Strategist within the Creative Services department.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure cohesive messaging and delivery of our founder’s creative vision
  • Push the brand voice and its audience towards fresh and exciting ideas
  • Take ownership of campaign messaging and execute content to a high standard
  • Manage and lead the direction of written content for both Kendra Scott and Scott Bros. by Kendra Scott e-commerce including but not limited to homepages, email, digital media, SEO product descriptions, and social media
  • Manage and lead the direction of written content for both Kendra Scott and Scott Bros. by Kendra Scott print pieces including but not limited to retail signage, wholesale marketing collateral, advertisements, catalogs, events, and packaging
  • Test performance of content in digital spaces including digital media, email, and e-commerce and iterate based on findings
  • Lead the direction of written content for Retail & Events teams, including but not limited to retail training documents, field activations, and in-store marketing collateral
  • Manage all other content requests from cross-functional teams to achieve content objectives while advocating for and upholding the brand standards and voice
  • Develop and maintain processes and organization systems that increase the efficiency of the Copy team
  • Be a voice for the Kendra Scott brand in partnership with the Sr. Content Strategist and/or PR team when necessary.
  • Be able to translate voice to drive clear Philanthropy messaging and understand the nuances needed.
  • Proof outgoing content for grammar, spelling and punctuation.

Our Ideal Candidate:
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in writing, marketing, or a related field
  • 3+ years’ experience as a copywriter for a high-growth company
  • A proven ability to execute with consistent delivery
  • Thorough knowledge of writing principles
  • Ability to write concise, engaging content that adheres to brand guidelines for tone and voice, using best practices for each given channel
  • Must be exceptionally organized, self-motivated, deadline-oriented, receptive to feedback, and an effective communicator
  • Must be a continual student of your craft and share your insights and ideas with others across the company
  • A strong ability to build cross-functional partnerships and work collaboratively
  • A growth mindset: a desire to learn, grow, and embrace new ideas
