Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD) is looking for a Family Planning Program Coordinator for oversight and administration of the Family Planning Education Program. You will provide individual education, and participate in community events and outreach activities; will serve as a liaison with partnering agencies and ensures proper training of patient engagement and health education staff.
Responsibilities:

  • Builds positive relationships, inspires others to perform at a higher level, prepares career development plans and retains an accountable workforce.
  • Coaches and counsels staff and administers appropriate disciplinary action in a timely manner.
  • Create and maintain community partnerships with non-family planning agencies to increase community knowledge of Family Planning Services.
  • Participates and assists in program data collection and evaluation activities. Reviews and assists in determining the linguistic and cultural appropriateness of materials, teaching aids, activities, methods, strategies, programs, etc. Review the efficacy of materials and programs and provides positive, action-oriented feedback. Assists in the preparation of program reports as required by funders.
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities and ensures appropriate Lean tools (i.e., 5S, A3) are deployed and results are evaluated and/or measured.
  • Participates in implementation and review of all agency functions in order to ensure high quality Family Planning Services and compliance with all Title X guidelines and acts as a liaison with participating agencies.Performs individual assessments and counseling and provides patients with current, accurate health information. Ensures maximum utilization of schedules by proactively managing visits, including scheduling follow-up appointments, calling no-shows, referrals, working with PSRs, and Case Managers
  • Provides/ensures staff receive all new hire and annual trainings on time.
  • Pursues the completion and fulfillment of the goals and objectives of the Title X Family Planning Program. Assists in the development of family planning education protocols following Title X guidelines.
  • Works with Title X staff conduct marketing, community engagement and education to potential Title X eligible clients.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Psychology, or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in community health education, program development, implementation and management required.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English required.
  • Meet organizational driver requirements.

21.26 - 30.47
If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to these factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
