About ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital

ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital is a 114-bed community hospital located in Ahoskie. Serving four nearby counties, the 15-bed emergency department sees approximately 18,000 patients per year. ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital provides a wide range of health services, including medical, surgical and radiation oncology. In addition, the Wound Healing and Pain Management clinics serve as referral centers for neighboring ECU Health hospitals and providers.

Ahoskie, NC is ideally located an hour from the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area and two hours from Raleigh, Richmond, Williamsburg, and the beautiful Outer Banks of NC. Ahoskie offers a moderate cost of living, a strong sense of community, and a temperate climate and location to support a variety of year round outdoor activities, such as boating, kayaking, hunting, fishing, hiking, and golf.

Position Summary

As a Cook-Baker, you will prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Supervisor and/or Manager. Must help maintain a clean enviroment and assist with other duties. Required to provide the nutritional care of the patient, visitors, and employees that we serve, touch and support that enters our doors daily.

Minimum Requirements

• High School or equivalent preferred

• 40 hours a week

• 8 hour shifts (5 am - 1 pm or 9:30 am - 6:30 pm)

• Required to work rotational shifts (primary AM or PM), as needed

• Required to work rotational weekends (9:30 am - 6:30 pm)
