Summary

Our client is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team. The Controls Engineer is primarily responsible for the electrical design/controls engineering, and programming of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Reference associated project electrical drawings and create the necessary programs to control the equipment built
• Work closely and collaborate with the project team to provide the proper level of machine control for the equipment in relation to the customer’s requirements and the associated proposal.
• Work closely with the project team during the engineering and build phase of the equipment.
• Work closely with customers and vendors
• Responsible for offline research, develop custom logic, debug equipment and support machine startup while keeping the project budget and scope of work in mind.
• Other job-related duties may be assigned as dictated by the current needs of the company. This may include wiring support, assembly support, material preparation, or other tasks related to manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Possess expertise with programming PLC (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.), HMI (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.), Robot (Fanuc, KUKA, UR, etc.), and Vision (Keyence, Cognex, etc.).
• Possess normal requirements for reading written instructions and schematics.
• Required to meet the normal requirements for understanding verbal instructions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Electrical engineering: 4 years (Required)
• PLC programming: 1 year (Preferred)
• HMI Software: 1 year (Preferred)
