Tendit Group is searching for a Controller to join us in our home office. This position requires experience in accounting for construction and/or service-related contracts, attention to detail, and knowledge and experience in general corporate accounting functions. This position will provide Tendit Group’s overall business with accounting management and support. This position will report to the Chief Financial Officer.

What You Will Do:

  • Champion data-driven decision making in the company
  • Ensure all transactional activities are conducted smoothly not limited to: payroll, payables, receivables, debt payments, cash disbursements, accruals, reconciliations, etc.
  • Closely monitor companies’ financial health, performance and provide recommendations and take actions to improve increase company profitability
  • Produce financial-status reports for senior management to improve efficiency and aid in the company’s growth
  • Provide financial analyses for capital investments, cost pricing decisions, and new customer/business acquisition
  • Process Improvement for Growth; Help develop and support short and long-term operational strategies
  • Streamline and simplify budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting processes so that the business is scalable
  • Assess current accounting operations and offer recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines
  • Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective action
  • Establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on a bi-weekly, monthly, and annual basis
  • Manage and analyze financial statement, payroll, budget, tax & regulatory compliance
  • Spearhead auditing process (internal & external)
  • Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
  • Prepare internal & external financial statements
  • Note: Business needs include special projects and job descriptions are subject to change as per business needs.
Requirements:

What You Will Need:

  • Must have a degree in Accounting or Finance, or related field, CPA preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
  • Minimum 2 years managerial experience within an accounting department
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in work environment
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • A Willingness to come in every day to find a way to improve on what we did the previous day
  • Prior use of Sage Intact or other similar accounting software
  • Be someone who is ethical and discreet, values time management, is highly organized, punctual, and able to work in a dynamic team environment
