Pivot Staffing- a 5 year old midwestern regional staffing firm with six branches is seeking a Controller to work in our HQ office in Parma. Pivot's success is significant as we have:
* Doubled in size two of the last four years
* Had a record year in 2022! Grew by 46% over 2021
We are looking for the right Controller or Assistant Controller. Pivot is set to make the tranisition to our new Controller a sucess as YOU will report to our President while working side by side with our current Controller. She has worked with the President for 25 years and is looking to retire within the next 8 to 12 months. This position is perfect for an experienced Controller ready to roll day one or a tenured Assistant Controller looking for their chance to run all of finance.

* Base Salary TBD: $65K to $100K (Big range but depends on education/experience)

* Monday thru Friday: Full-time 40 hours. 8 to 5, 8:30 to 5, etc.
Our Controller candidate should have:
* Bachelors Degree plus
* Ideally passed the CPA test
* This role will be instrumental in the management of general liability and employee health insurance, having a deep understanding of the risk associated with a labor workforce and the overall financial impact this can have on the business if not properly managed.
- Manage at a very high skill level the maximum utilization of all technology; including several queries and our staffing software TempWorks.
- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
- Must be innovative in establishing processes to achieve the department's goals and objectives efficiently.
- Work with leaders within the company to ensure accounting is evolving to meet the needs of a growing business.
- Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations.
- Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management with a high sense of urgency.
- Work closely with the outside CPA firm on the annual audit and tax compliance.
* Proficient/expert in Excel and Quickbooks
* Preparing P&L, Balance Sheets, etc
* Proficiency in Journal entries
* Proficiency in payroll/invoicing systems
* Knowledge/familiarity/experience in AP, AR, GL, Collections, Workers Compensation
