Job Duties Include:

• Responsible for wiring and building industrial controls panels based on electrical schematics
• Component layout on back panels, drilling, wiring, and panel/wire labeling of single-phase and three-phase industrial control panels
• Hole cutouts on operator consoles and enclosures
• Manufacturing of electrical cable assemblies
• Troubleshoot and correct wiring errors
• Assist with, picking, pulling, and staging production order kits for USNR panel shop and outsourcing
• Identify parts receiving errors
• Receive and Inspect enclosures for damage from Platt and returned builds from outsource shops, add magnetic label stating no damage found.
• Keep items in shop staging area organized
• Assist with shop organization and cleanup
• Make engraved labels
• Coordinate pickup/delivery for production kits going to/from outsource shops
• Input parts sheets into AX and issue items
• Assist with machine wiring

Required skills:

• Minimum 1-year experience building industrial control panels
• Familiarity with UL508a preferred
• Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Ability to use Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Maintain company standards for quality
• Good with hand tools, soldering, jigsaw, hand drill, drill press, bandsaw, and test equipment
• Ability to communicate effectively, listen well, work collaboratively, and be adaptable to changing work needs
• Discuss errors in wiring schematics or panel with supervisor/engineer to clarify assembly issues
• Follows all company safety rules, including machine operation
• Keeps equipment and working area clean, orderly, and safe
• Ability to work carefully and accurately
• Ability to complete work independently
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented

Optional skills:

• Basic AutoCAD skills
• Ability to operate forklifts

This position is typically located in a manufacturing setting and requires standing for long periods of time. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, visual acuity to use a keyboard. Requires the ability to express or exchange ideas by means of verbal communication. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
