We are searching for a Content Specialist to support 3BL Media’s family of news distribution platform subscribers. Our Content Specialists work on posting and maintaining content across our family of websites; 3blmedia.com, CSRwire.com, and ReportAlert.info, among others. Our clients are corporate communications and public relations professionals responsible for the distribution of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability news and content.

Those with experience using a variety of web platforms to post content, a technical background in media, marketing and/or PR service sectors with customer service experience are strongly encouraged to apply. This position also requires extensive outbound and inbound email and phone communication, in addition to use of our CRM (Salesforce).

Writing skills and attention to detail are so important to success in this position that applications without a cover letter will not be considered!

What you’ll be doing

Content Specialists are supported by an experienced staff of media consultants, business development, technology, and management executives, as well as success stories from hundreds of well-known clients. Responsibilities include:

  • Publishing content – upload text and multimedia content to the 3BL Media family of websites; review content submitted by clients and format for publishing.
  • Communicate with clients regarding the above as needed with speed, care and professionalism.
  • Work closely with colleagues to facilitate distribution of client and company content.
  • Feature content throughout 3BL Media websites and newsletters.
  • Maintain client records across our CRM (Salesforce) and 3BL Media family of websites.
  • Maintain organizational systems for a variety of projects; open and timely communication with colleagues and clients over a variety of platforms, including shared calendars.

The Content Specialist must demonstrate a commitment to high quality client service. A strong component of this position is the ability to work well with the team and be accountable to other team members.

Please note that at least one evening shift (12-8pm ET) will be required per week for this role.

Qualifications

  • Extremely high attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated with technical know-how and creative problem-solving abilities, consistently taking initiative and demonstrating follow-through.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including a high comfort level with picking up the phone and initiating contact.
  • Technologically inclined: experience with basic HTML preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, Google Drive sharing, and CRM systems including Salesforce.com and internet research.
  • 1-2 years work experience in web platforms, editing, or PR/marketing preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
