The Amherst Group is searching for a Learning Specialist who will work with team members, business partners and Subject Matter Experts to design, develop and deliver training programs that enable new hires and current employees in Construction to excel in their roles and gain an understanding of job relevant processes. This job will be responsible for curating documentation and delivering training through various modes. This role is critical to the successful employee experience as they will develop, manage, and lead employee learning programs that are bespoke to Construction employees.

Responsibilities:

This individual must have a passion for learning, passing on knowledge to others and for helping employees grow and develop in their careers.

  • Partner with key stakeholders to understand all aspects of the business, roles, and processes to support functional and strategic goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with leaders to identify training gaps and needs to guide subject matter experts in the development of high-quality, knowledge-based training content and programs
  • Develop and deliver interactive, timely and essential training programs for technical while actively collaborating with leaders to identify areas for improvement
  • Conduct needs analysis and make recommendations to business leaders regarding learning needs
  • Create learning curricula including research, application of learning methodologies, training materials, job aids, reference guides, facilitator guides and presentation materials
  • Facilitate learning sessions and oversee all administrative tasks associated with facilitating sessions (i.e., attendance, engagement, progress improvement)
  • Regularly review learning programs to ensure program and materials are effective and current. Partner with affiliated stakeholders and business leaders to update and implement any changes
  • Assisting and helping upskill individuals so they can be successful in their role
  • Build relationships and foster a collaborative team environment across a geographically dispersed employee population with varying needs
  • Conduct post-launch evaluations to understand successes and improvement opportunities to establish methods of maximum integration and sustained knowledge

What you’ll need to have

  • 3+ years of experience in Learning, Organizational Development or Instructional Design
  • 2+ years of highly effective and engaging facilitation experience
  • Passion and enthusiasm for continuous learning
  • Knowledge of various training and teaching methods
  • Demonstrated success in developing, facilitating and assessing training programs (including learning outcomes)
  • Ability to translate complex information into easily understandable and applied knowledge is a must
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
  • Proven accomplishment in building relationships with customers and internal clients
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to multi-task with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong technology skills and digital literacy to stay at the forefront of training modalities
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with Captivate a plus
  • Experience working with Workday a plus
  • Experience working with in Real Estate or with Construction
