Position Specification

Position: Construction Superintendent

Location: Sun Valley, Idaho

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Plan, execute, and manage construction projects starting at preconstruction to closeout
  • Manage subcontractors and internal construction teams to ensure proper construction sequencing and quality work
  • Budget planning and cost estimating support with Timberline Construction Senior Project Manager
  • Lead project safety initiatives in order to maintain a safe worksite throughout the duration of the project
  • Manage the near-term project schedule to adhere to expected project timing and ensure proper project execution
  • Maintain daily logs of unit costs in the field in order to create and track a gain-loss report for the project.
  • Successfully organize and manage a project back-charge system
  • Coordinate, attend and facilitate all project meetings and final inspections
  • Review, monitor, and coordinate all approvals of shop drawings and submittals
  • Monitor and guide compliance with building, third party testing requirements, and site safety regulations
  • Manage and mitigate risks, ensure quality construction standards
  • Maintain company reputation in market as a reputable and reliable developer and builder

Professional Experience / Qualifications

  • Proven experience executing construction, including multi-family, single-family, and townhomes. Condominium and shared party-wall experience is preferred.
  • 8-15 years of homebuilding or general construction experience in Mountain West region
  • Excellent knowledge of construction processes
  • OSHA 30, CPR/AED, First Aid, and Fall Protection training certified preferred
  • Experience with construction management software packages, including Procore and other scheduling software
  • Outstanding knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
  • Responsible team-player that executes independently, addressing problems, and eager for the next task after completing an assignment
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy of work while maintaining excellent communication with the entirety of the construction and ownership team.

Position Summary

The Superintendent will work alongside Timberline’s Construction Management and Development Teams to execute the construction of a three-phased, multi-year condominium townhome project in Sun Valley, Idaho. As a member of the Timberline team, you will develop core skills across real estate asset types through hands-on project experience. Over time, you’ll have the capacity to expand into broader and higher-level company roles utilizing the strengths you apply and exhibit in your role as a Superintendent with opportunities throughout the greater Sun Valley area and nationwide. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
