Superintendent

We are a mid-level general construction company located in Sarasota, FL. Our project focus is on restaurant work, new residential construction, and residential renovations. We are looking for an energetic individual to join our staff as an on-site superintendent. Must have an open-mind and be willing to learn, but most importantly, be self-motivated and committed to getting projects completed on time. Local candidates preferred.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Coordinate and schedule daily job site activities
• Coordinate and schedule inspections
• Daily interaction with project manager to confirm all material orders, subcontractor contracts, and scope of work
• Attention to job site costs and budget

Must have the following for consideration of this position:

• Driver's license and dependable transportation
• Basic tools and the ability to use them for punch-out items
• Knowledge of Florida building codes
• Commercial restaurant building experience
• Strong organizational and managerial skills
• Ability to read and understand building plans
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High School graduate'
