Schedule: Monday-Friday 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM with OT as needed
Job Purpose: Scans and closes all packages shipping to the customers. All packages must be properly sealed to ensure the customers get all shipments in good condition.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Scan cartons and attach carrier labels to shipments and insert packing list.
- Make sure package is not damaged and sealed properly.
- Process international shipments and the proper documents needed.
- Make sure all special request for shipments are met before processing.
- Supports other DC areas to facilitate customer order processing; including but not limited to replenishment, receiving, picking, truck loading, and confirmation.
- Build open carton inventory in all sizes as needed, for labeling and order processing
Skills/Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Teamwork: Contributes to building a positive team spirit.
Computer skills: Able to learn to use computer programs as we will provide training.
Physical Demands: Frequently required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
