Job Summary:

Our Compliance Specialist will support functional areas of California Compliance as assigned. One will also develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures that keep Acrisure operating in a legal and ethical manner.


Responsibilities:

  • Subject matter expert in California Compliance laws and regulations including but not limited to Wage and Hour/ FLSA/ Employment Laws and training
  • Monitoring/Documenting compliance activities
  • Provides audit information to management through researching and analyzing data
  • Consulting with legal department and advising Leadership/Management on compliance matters
  • Identifying, investigating and reporting compliance issues, irregularities and violations through different avenues
  • Tracking/Responding to Complaints such as Escalated Employment Relation Complaints, including but not limited to Employee Investigations
  • Preparing/Filing compliance reports with all parties, including government agencies
  • Providing Employee Training on compliance policies, practices, and reporting systems
  • Ensures Acrisure is adhering to all local/ state/ regional/ national/ federal regulations policies
  • Be a resource for our Agency Partners in HR Compliance and Employee Relations
  • Maintains and updates employee Handbook as policies and laws change
  • Developing and implementing improvement plans


Requirements:

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and decision – making skills
  • Expert knowledge of legislation and regulations
  • Discreetly handle sensitive employee reports or information
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively perform in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment; demonstrated ability to deal and operate well in ambiguity


Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of compliance experience
  • Minimum 3 years of hands on HRIS experience
  • Extensive knowledge in California ensuring compliance and management of policies
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
  • Workday experience is a plus.
