TITLE: Community Standards Manager

REPORTS TO: Executive Director

Salary Range: $70,000-80,000

FUNCTION: Oversees and directs resident compliance with Community Association’s Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions. Serves as the Community Association’s coordinator to the Architectural Review Committee, Compliance Committee and other reviewing entities as may be established by the Association Executive Director and/or Board of Directors. Must ensure that all support and service is conducted and fulfilled in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives of Sun City Lincoln Hills Community Association’s Governing Documents and Civil Code.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Interprets Association CC&R’s and Design Guidelines and determines compliance and non-compliance. Prepares and presents recommendations on such findings and recommended changes to guidelines, as deemed necessary.

  • Maintains computer database and files of all ARC and Compliance Committee requests, records of complaints, status of violations and resident contacts, whether in person or by telephone. Oversee and responsible for timely confidential monthly reports through the Executive Director and committee chairperson to the Board of Directors regarding outstanding enforcement or non-compliance issues.
  • Prepares necessary correspondence between homeowners and the ARC and Compliance Committee and/or other reviewing entities as established by the Association Board of Directors and pursuant to the Association Governing Documents and Civil Code. Follows up on issues to ensure that compliance has been obtained.
  • Executive Director is consulted, as needed, for further review of noncompliance and, if necessary, forwarding to the appropriate committees, hearing panels or Board of Directors for action.
  • Acts as office manager for the ARC and Compliance office and operates the office in a professional manner, offering members copies of the CC&R’s and Rules & Regulations. Assists members in understanding requirements for compliance and ARC process. Reports problems in office management and equipment needs and submits recommendations.
  • Provides administrative support to the ARC and Compliance Committee and other reviewing entities or hearing panels as may be established by the Board with regard to processing resident applications.
  • Makes frequent inspections of the community for compliance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Position involves sitting, standing, and/or movement. Must be able to transport oneself not only in and around the office setting, but also around the community and in and out of company vehicles to and from destinations off the site.
  • Physical ability to sustain movements especially of the fingers, wrists, hands, and arms. Must be physically and intellectually capable of operating a computer, printer, telephone, radio. Must be able to exchange and receive information over the telephone.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required. College course/degree preferred.

Knowledge: Knowledge of pertinent state and local regulations, laws, and ordinances.

Skills: Employee must have the ability to review architectural drawings and site plans. Must be able to function and supervise effectively under stress and interruptions. Must be self-motivated, organized, flexible, detail oriented with the ability to prioritize. Able to use discretion regarding confidential Association information. Must be willing to accept extreme deadline pressure and adapt to technological developments and varying schedules as needed.

Experience: Prior experience with homeowners association CC&R’s preferred. Formal negotiations training and construction/real estate industry experience helpful.

Personality: Employee will be required to have excellent interpersonal skills and the social skills necessary to work well and congenially with fellow employees and residents.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
