What You'll Be Doing in the role of Community Health Evaluation Analyst
The Community Health Evaluation Analyst is a member of the Health Information & Evaluation (HIE) team within Komen’s Mission division. The HIE team supports Komen’s role as an evidence-based organization by transforming data into meaningful intelligence that will guide program strategy, convey Komen’s impact, and contribute to the body of scientific evidence about breast cancer.
The Community Health Evaluation Analyst will implement multi-method evaluation strategies to demonstrate the outcomes and impact of Susan G. Komen's programs. They will work closely with the Evaluation team to implement and maintain the evaluation data of mission related programs using established standards for quantitative and qualitative data collection, navigate data collection from multiple data sources and partners, and evaluate the impact of Susan G. Komen's programs. The Evaluation Analyst will spend significant time evaluating activities and programs related to Komen’s Stand for H.E.R. – a Health Equity Revolution initiative. In addition, they will develop, write and/or edit technical communication pieces for multiple audiences to communicate outcomes and impact as determined by the HIE team.
What You Will Bring to the Table
Works closely with the HIE team to evaluate the impact of Susan G. Komen's programs and assess alignment of mission activities with Komen's mission strategy.
Identifies innovative approaches to health equity focused program evaluation and impact assessment.
Collects data from multi-method program evaluation studies.
Deploys and analyzes program online surveys.
Conducts survey data mining, data cleaning, and data quality assurance.
Performs qualitative data collection and coding.
Conducts database organizing, filing, and data extraction.
Identifies and tracks measurable outcomes from Komen-funded programs and projects.
Analyzes both qualitative and quantitative data from an equity lens.
Writes technical reports and other communications conveying evaluation results.
Develops and implements strategies to communicate the outcomes and impact of Susan G. Komen's programs for multiple audiences
Develops, authors, and edits various communication pieces (e.g., Komen articles, blogs, reports) that effectively convey to general audiences the outcomes and impact of Komen programs.
Coordinates with HIE team members to prepare presentations, tables, charts, and figures for internal and external reports.
Researches and prepares responses to data requests for information on Komen programs.
Upholds Komen's principles of scientific excellence, fairness, and transparency.
Works collaboratively across Komen departments to help secure mission program funding and ensure donor stewardship.
Represents Komen and the mission team in a professional manner internally and externally to prospective and current donors and other key stakeholders.
Contributes to responses for community health-related inquiries, donor proposals, pitch documents, presentations, and other materials.
Serves as a Komen representative on internal committees and working groups.
Project/Process Management
Ensures timelines are being adhered to and projects are prioritized accordingly across the multiple projects.
Develops and maintains evaluation process documentation (SOWs, SOPs, guidelines, etc.).

We Already Know You Will Also Have
Work Experience: 1 – 3 years
Education: Master’s Degree: Public health, social sciences, clinical research
1-3 years of experience working in and/or conducting evaluation of public health programs post-Master’s degree, including developing evaluation plans and logic models, conducting data collection and analyses, ensuring data quality, and using evaluation results to demonstrate programmatic impact.
Real-world experience conducting health equity-framed evaluations and developing culturally sensitive evaluation tools.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and collaborate with team members.
Exceptional writing and speaking skills required, with ability to communicate scientific concepts to a lay audience (internal and external).
Shows positive approach to work, flexibility, cultural awareness, sensitivity to relationships, security, and confidentiality.
Must have excellent and instinctive service and customer relationship skills.
Preferred requirements:
Experience managing multi-site data collection.
Experience in breast cancer evaluation or applied/social research.
Specialized/technical Requirements:
Experience with survey platforms and analysis tools such as Qualtrics or NVivo is preferred.
Experience with data visualization applications such as Power BI or Tableau is preferred
Position requires intermediate level of computer/technical skills. Programs utilized are Microsoft Office, databases (internal and external) and virtual networking programs Teams, RingCentral). Must be able to assist others with basic computer/technical issues and/or understanding.
Advanced experience using Excel formulas, pivot and other advanced functions is preferred.
Travel requirements outside of the office, up to 10%
