Job Summary: The Licensed Professional of the Healing Arts (LPHA) provides assessment, triage, and treatment to individuals diagnosed with severe mental illnesses who may also have co-occurring substance use disorders and/or chronic health conditions using a recovery based and trauma-informed perspective. This position is based in an integrated behavioral health clinic and will provide therapy as well as complete intake to connect individuals to ongoing adult behavioral health services.
LPHAs work in partnership with racially and culturally diverse individuals to define and facilitate their desired life outcomes. LPHAs conduct diagnostic evaluations and provide assessment of strengths, preferences, functional impairments and symptoms of psychiatric and/or co-occurring disorder(s) at regular intervals to ensure optimal and personalized services with an understanding of the connection between biological, psychological, and social health. LPHAs deliver therapeutic evidence-based and best practice interventions including, but not limited to: skills training through psycho-education and patient education strategies, individual, family and/or group services, and delivering crisis services with linkages to crisis resources as needed.
Education:
Required:
- Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree with a major specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field.
License:
Required:
- Licensed in Texas as a LPHA with a focus on LPC, LMFT, LCSW, MD, DO or Licensed Psychologist.
- Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Experience:
Required:
- Experience performing mental health assessments, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
Hours: Full-time; Monday - Friday with option to work four 10 hours shifts, if desired.
Salary: $62,306 - $79,433 annually, depending on licensed experience.
Position is eligible for differential pay:
- Second Shift: $3.25.
- Third Shift: $4.25.
- Weekend Shift: $5.00.
